Project Guidelines:

9-year-old Boy Told He's Too Good To Pitch

Jericho Scott played on the Youth Baseball League of New Haven. He was such a good pitcher he was actually banned from the team. People complained that his pitches were too fast and too scary for beginners. Jericho now says he misses pitching.
Jericho's coach says, "He's on target all the time. How can you punish a kid for being too good?"
Scott's mom was also upset. In fact she admits calling the police.

Russia recognizes independence

Today Russia has recognized the independence of the Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The U.S. does not recognize the independence since they are part of one country, the country of Georgia. The U.S. has put two ships on the west side of Georgia in the Black Sea. The ships are there to give humanitarian aid to Georgia. The president of Russia has said "We are not afraid of anything,including the prospect of a Cold War."

Lost Woman Found!

A 21 year old mother was found pinned in her truck at the bottom of a 70 foot ravine. She is still in recovery after spending five days down there.Before it happened she was driving home from getting some groceries and birthday invitations for her three year old daughter. Many people were praying for her and and say it is a miracle. I read about this from www.wsoctv.com/news

This Tuesday afternoon, there was a storm in Asheville and the western part of North Carolina. There was major flood. The flood waters were 2 inches deep. Even though the rain stopped, the power went out in more than 4,000 homes. Obama Chooses

This past week Senator Barack Obama chose Jo Biden as his running mate. All the newspapers and Internet say he has had trouble picking between A few people. Some of these include Senator Evan Baye of Indianna, Governer Tim Kaine of Virginia, and Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware. Allot of democrats wanted him to choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate but Obama had other plans. It took a while for him to make this decision but finally it has come to a conclusion.Jo Biden is Barack Obama's running mate.

A Sudanese passenger airplane was hijacked on Tuesday. The plane was leaving war-torn Dufar. Eighty-seven were on the airplane at the time. They were on their way to Khartoum from South Dufar capitol, Nyala. They think right now that the plane is in Libya. (I got this from Yahoo News)

Elmers glue has a cow on the front of their bottle because elsie is borden's cow (milk) for their food products. Borden wanted to make glue and instead of using Elsie as the glue's cow they picked Elmer.They didn't want a food cow on a bottle of something that you could not eat. They used Elsie's husband Elmer as their cow instead.
